Lott Trophy: BC Linebacker Honorary Recipient

Lott TrophyThe Lott Trophy sponsors announced today that Boston College linebacker, Mark Herzlich, will be awarded an honorary trophy.

Herzlich missed the 2009 football season battling Ewing’s Sarcoma cancer. He was a quarter-finalist in 2008 and on the watch list for 2009.

He is also only the second person to receive an honorary Lott Trophy. The first honorary trophy went to the family of Pat Tillman, the former pro-football standout who volunteered for the military and was killed in Afghanistan.
