Rogers is confident of pulling off an FA Trophy surprise
TIVERTON Town boss Martyn Rogers is eyeing an upset after seeing his side drawn to play Bishop’s Stortford in the next round of the FA Trophy.
The Yellows have been drawn to face the Conference South strugglers away in the third qualifying round of the competition after they defeated Wealdstone 2-1 in the previous round on Saturday.
Rogers admitted he had hoped his men would be handed a home tie at this stage of the competition, with former FA Cup trophy winners AFC Wimbledon his dream opponents.
But with the Blues struggling badly in the league above Tivvy, Rogers believes his men have an excellent chance of pulling off a shock and progressing to the first round — the stage at which the non-league big boys of the Conference enter proceedings.
The Ladysmead chief said: “I think we have got every chance. They are not having the best of seasons to start with and hopefully we will capitalise on that.”
You are always disappointed to be drawn away, but at the end of the day we have got a good chance for trophy. It could have been a lot better but it could have been a lot worse.

How else, if not with a tiny, well-placed elbow, will this latest treasure clear a space in the laden trophy case at Turnstone Center for Children and Adults with Disabilities?
Tucked away down a back hall here are basketball trophies and power soccer trophies and more basketball trophies, one gleaming inscribed surface melding into the next. Beribboned medals of all shades spill across the shelves. There are team photos and handsome wood plaques and more team photos. Read more »

‘Trophy‘ addition to PS3 a double-edged sword
The implementation of the “trophy” system on the Playstation 3 is a pretty cool idea, but it has a few drawbacks.
It’s nice to be able to boast my gaming accomplishments against my friends on PS3 like X-Box 360 players could since launch. However, adding trophies in to games that previously didn’t have them is a double-edged sword.
On one hand, I can get more enjoyment out of older games, but on the other hand I’m hesitant to put in a large time investment in a game that doesn’t have trophies because I’m afraid the developers will patch in trophies.
